Dirty, Dirty Sinners Ruin Natural Order

Hello, good friends, Joe P. Reagan here and there is one question on my mind today. Sinners, why are you destroying the holy order of mankind?

For far too long, great blasphemy and atrocity have gone on in this world. Sinners are constantly denying what is right and natural. They fail to appreciate the order of nature, bending the divine rules of the universe to their liking. Verily, sinners, I say to thee this.

Wicked and fickle ways will bring your own ruin. You see, it matters not who your supposed "god" may be. In the end, if you are sinful against good, for all, you will burn in the flames of failure, hatred and treachery.

Of all who stand accused of ruining what's natural, gays have long held the number one spot. Lampooned as blights upon society, religious leaders, politicians and segmented media have made it no secret that gays are destroying humanity with their flaming and flamboyant acts of carnal sins.

Surely, it should stand as no surprise that a woman who loves a woman, or a man who love a man, are the direct sources of everything that is falling apart in our world. AIDS an issue? It's the gays. Neglected children? Yes indeed, the gays. High divorce rates...?

As we're taught by media, the act of gayness is the cause of all political turmoil. Perhaps it's because they are destroying the divine nature of mankind, much like another breed of sinner, those who steal life.

Life stealers, also known as pro-choicers, are clearly dangerous and no good as well. Their burning hatred of all things living compels them to ignore law, implications of justice and potential repercussions so they can do one thing, and one thing only. Kill! Any person who supports abortion is obviously one who hates humanity. Such things take precedence over all else in this world, especially at times of elections.

At this point some of our zealot readers may be jumping up and down with delight, gleefully calling friends to watch the spectacle of religious finger-wagging and high-horsery. Some have gone straight down to the comment section and started the noble task of being the the keyboard warrior against Joe.

To all of you, I say thee this; take heed and listen to the most dangerous sin of modern times.

As I awoke today, going through the standard routine of getting ready for the office, I flipped on the tv to get an update on the presidential debates from last night. As I put my pants one leg at a time, my ears were shocked by the sound being forced into them.

"In today's top news, pop starlette Lindsay Lohan facing trouble over DUI...". Dang, I thought, must have missed the important news hour on CNN, let's try local news. "Pop princess Lindsay Lohan's father, Michael Lohan...".

At this point, I was pulling a curious Tim Allen styled "Urrrhhh?!" and turned to the tried and true Fox News. Surely, my right wing brethern were spinning facts and political half-truths as only they can. "...but first, pop tart Lindsay Lohan in trouble in Santa Monica". Even Sally McPunditPants was in on this story.

Why on Earth, and today of all days, was Lindsay Lohan's drug habit still so important?

I gave this point great thought on my way to work, taking time to notice quite a few homeless people were out early, wondering about.

Upon reaching the office and taking care of some duties, some colleagues and I had time for water-cooler talk. We were all giving our views on life, society and upcoming elections, before Angry "Bob" stepped up to the plate to give his views.

Now Angry "Bob"(name slightly changed here) is an interesting guy. He's a brooding, bitter man and is always on a mission. If you can imagine an irate George Constanza -being part of the Spanish Inquisition- you have Angry Bob accurately pictured.

Once again amazed at the rhetoric the people around me could spew, my ears were treated to his following words: "You young asses are ignorant. You wanna know what matters in the upcoming election? Wanna know what's important? It's keeping gays from ruining stuff, it's stopping ACLU from fighting abortion law...it's..."

Thankfully, my secretary was paging me as an important call had come in. Bob had managed to nail me in the face with spittle as he rambled on and on, but his sage words left me with one realization.

There is one thing in modern times that is a deadly sin to the whole of humanity. It's not being gay, sorry Fred Phelps. It's not one's stance of being pro-life and pro-choice. Those things are distractions to the one thing that stands to completely destroy our way of life. That one sin is Self-Absorption.

Self-absorption is dangerous. It's most dangerous aspect is that it causes corruption and degradation from within.

All too often -and especially around election times- you will hear the usual suspects listed as the destroyers of all: Gays and Pro-choicers, and these days, I suppose "terrorists" can be added to this list as well. You'll also see a bunch of worthless celebrity news.

This occurs because our modern society advocates being obsessed with one's own views and way of life. There are those who hold dearly to what they were taught is important -from all morality comes from religious tradition, everyone hates "our freedom" to thinking "glamour" lifestyle is important- and media and politicians are there to feed that obsession.

While everyone must always think independently, it is your responsibility to think OUTSIDE of your own experience and grounded beliefs. Sometimes, there are things going on in this world that are far more important than personal passion, be it religious, politics or general interest.

So today, my message of fact to you is this. Always consider the "good truth" for all. Take responsibility and think outside of your own logic for the day. Don't let the Angry Bob's pander to your religiosity and blame gays for global warming. Don't let the President Bush's steal your vote because they are morally against stem cell research or abortion.

These are the the exploitations of the sin of self-absorption. Don't let this sin let our society crash and burn, like a drugged out celebrity on the evening news.

World, Why Do You Hate The USA?

Hello friends, Joe P. Reagan here and there is one question on my mind today. World, why do you hate the USA?

At five o'clock yesterday, like millions of other Americans I happily fled my office and looked forward to a nice weekend of solace and relaxation at home. Fortunately for me, my "Lumbergh" didn't catch me as I was making an exit from the office.

Driving home, I turned on the evening radio as is my custom. There was an interesting talk program playing, reviewing the details of America's war on Iraq. The figures were staggering; many thousands dead, no real progress, and upwards of $1 trillion dollars wasted, money that could have gone to feed hungry, bring medicine to the destitute, or I don't know, anything else that doesn't involve death.

Mulling over the war and such in my mind, I grabbed the remote and flicked on the television. I had several hours of down time before my friends came over for Friday Night poker at Joe's. Channel-surfing, I happened by Fox News. As if they knew I had been a sinful backslider by listening to liberal radio, the news people quickly reminded me why the troops in Iraq are necessary, and more importantly, my duty as an American.

A context was quickly painted as to why Vladmir Putin is plotting our demise, Arab terrorists are working to destroy our way of life and our allies were not fully trustworthy. A context was painted into what my duties as an American citizen are to be, to my country.

The take home message was this. The world hates America, because they hate freedom. What defines American freedom? It is our conservative roots and values. It is our way of life. It is our economy and commercial markets. As a citizen, I am apparently supposed to listen to my elected leaders, to send a unified message to all who would stand in the the peace of American democracy. It can be no other way, America stands united -as one and without question- behind its leaders, right?

From my thoughts, there was one other thing that rang crystal clear in my mind from the news last night, and please excuse me. Fox News, and our current administration, is full of bull.

My name is Joe Reagan and I'm a very conservative Republican.

If the path to independence and democracy was the American economy -having a McDonald's on every corner and a mall in every suburb- Iraq should be a Utopia. When I went backpacking last year with friends, I shouldn't have had to receive a "travel warning and scenario map" in case of confrontation from my travel agent. The world would embrace the American policy, -gun in one hand and McDonald's sack in the other- as we spread democracy and dollar. Why on Earth aren't things working out in such a way?

This became my question to have answered by who are always the best sources. The everyday, normal, non-pundit people around me.

As mentioned, I'm a Republican, a very conservative one at that. My circle of friends tend to be something of what you'd call pricks, at times caring more about their portfolios than anything else. These are the type of guys who don't give much thought to things outside of their small work-every-day, oversee company progress, and drive a nice car home routine.

So as is our custom most Friday nights, we all met up at my place for our standard poker, have a few drinks and talk about guy stuff routine. Still being a bit reflective about the calls and comments from the program earlier (it was really good), I decided to throw a slight curve-ball into the evening.

"Guys," I asked my well-dressed poker buddies, "why does the world hate the USA?". Right off the bat, there was some laughter and all-too well knowing looks. Ol' Joe was ready to make some funny about current US policy.

After some off-handed jokes and being punished with the "chug of death" for bringing up politics during poker, the guys saw that I was being dead serious. I actually wanted to hear this answered by my conservative circle of friends. Why is the world against the USA? Is it our seeming ignorance, our apathy, our wars...our economy and freedom?

My buddy "Ted" quickly spoke up and gave what was most likely the greatest ignorant-buddy speech of all time. He's a big, burly guy, originally from Georgia and has the mannerisms of John Goodman.

He boomed, and I'm trying to quote as accurately as possible: "That's too easy. We are hated because we're Americans. We drive nice cars, we have a stable society. We have democracy. They don't and they never will until we give it to them."

Without realizing it, Ted revealed a great truth. His answer, though heart-felt, was naive. Despite what some believe, the world doesn't necessarily hate our freedom or our way of life. As is human nature, the majority of people want peace, quiet, safety and happiness for their loved ones. That is a major part of human nature.

Right now I believe there is a "public" image, a global one, of America. I think there is an image of an America, unified behind its leaders who have taken disastrous and wasteful actions over the past years. An America that overthrows leaders, tries to implement societal change by guns and markets, and thinks the world owes it a favor and thanks in the process.

Modern media helps feed that very image to the world, leaders continue to "act" on that image and make it a reality, and everyday working joes like my friends and I sit around, play poker, and occasionally bring it up as a talking point on Friday nights.

And that's where we are at today, friends. I sit, Joe P. Reagan, with the news telling me what to think in the background and all while submitting an editorial to ShoutWire. I'm one of 300 million Americans. That 300 million of 7 billion people worldwide. All in a planet, together, a drop in in a seemingly infinite universe.

I am here as a human, a man, with my unique ideas, my life, and my experiences that none can never fully know. I have friends that I love dearly -despite how ignorant some of them may be- and a daily routine just like any other person on this Earth. I love peace, stability and freedom. I am betting you do too, in a life that is just as full of routine, experiences and good friends.

So as we sit here -our lives traveling together on this planet for what is only a relatively brief portion of time- my point today is this. There is no reason why the world should hate America, there is no reason why Americans should hate or fear the world. Ones who would try to make us believe such things, no matter who they may be, either missed out on hugs in their childhood, or have a twisted agenda against the progress of mankind as a whole.

Feminism Is Destroying Society

My name is Joe P. Reagan and one question is on my mind today. Why do feminists hate freedom?

For far too long, men, and the moral fabric of Western society, have been on the receiving end of a very long societal shaft. The metal of this shaft was first welded by none other than the successors of Susan B. Anthony. It has continually been shined up and adorned with spikes in the smelting rooms of every anti-man rally.

You see, friend, the fact is this. There should be relative equal rights between man and woman. Not many will argue against such an adage. But when you give woman an inch, she will take a mile. She will take so many miles, however, that she'll naturally get lost and out of her place.

And that's where we are today. A society with women far out of place and men left behind, trodden down and out of sight. The women who have been using the phrasing "equal rights" as a green light to gain ground on men have now caused effects that are destroying society itself.

Some of you may argue that women have fallen far out of step with their God given roles of cooking a proper dinner and tucking Junior into bed. It seems historical trends do tend to agree.

Back in the 1950s, women cooked dinner for their families. They would take time to wear starched aprons, buy fresh food from the market, and make sure a well-balanced dinner was awaiting their family by 5pm, as nature intended.

During those times, families were fit and appreciated nutrition. Girls were comfortable with their bodies, there was no reason to have a McDonald's on every corner. Obesity wasn't an issue because women were performing their natural duties.

Contrast such things with the travesty of today's society. On every playground you see hoardes of kids, cheeto stained hands, clamoring about with no mother in sight. The food court of every mall is filled, people snarfing down their daily Taco Bell for dinner. Meanwhile in home across our society, kitchens are empty.

I wish I could say this was the worst of our problems, but it's not the case. Today we have issues such as high divorce rates, broken families and school violence. Jack Thompson wants to blame it on video games. Grace says it's our lack of good role models.

I'll tell you the real answer. It's the rampant irresponsibility of the women who want to put career, and their desire to top men, above properly raising a kid and nurturing their families.

TV is not the solution to raising your kids. It is not meant as a baby-sitter. TV dinners and take-out aren't instructing your children on how to eat healthy. Your grandmother in-law would be ashamed.

Much as the women of today who were improperly raised in 60-70s, children are being taught that TV life is real, men are naturally pigs and fast food makes a healthy diet. The cycle is in the process of repeating itself, hence all the problems with todays "youth" being reported in the media. Over-aggressive feminism that encourages bad parenting and desolation of family is the root of societal downfall.

So I speak to every career woman and instigator goose-stepper without family when I say this; stop destroying society. Every once in a while, making a nice, warm dinner and tucking the kids in can go a very long way.
